The database was set up in 2013 to improve access to information on actual losses to commercial property. The information is used by a diverse group from Property Owners, Insurers, Engineers Insurance Brokers, Risk Managers and others
The database features detailed data on the location of a loss, type of loss , date of loss and a press article on the loss . See details of the database in the downloads section below
The database is available in a free version , which provides basic information, and a smore detailed database which is available on request . Tailored reports are also available . A wide range of uses have been exrecised, mainly around data needs of decision makers and using the data to infkuence risk management decisions
Over 400 incidents including man made and catastrophe events per year to commercial properties that have caused over $10bn in value The man-made events are down to the address level and the catastrophe events are aggregated
